Categories in a blog are used to organize your subject, a way to structure your information so that others can understand your product or topic of interest. When you choose your categories, they should be catchy, so your audience stays interested in your site. An unorganized layout can is very off putting and confusing and hurts more than they help.

Tags are keywords that serve as quick links to popular topics. Unlike categories, tags provide more detailed information by directing users to specific examples related to the subject. Tags are engaging way for the viewers to make a visual connection.

Categories and tags will be used on my website to organize childhood food receipts, the ones that make you feel and remember what it was like when grandma was cooking and the whole family gathered for a meal. Food and family were one and the same growing up.  My website will bring the past into the current and maybe into the future so they are not forgotten
