Walking into Nana’s house was always a great treat, she always had something on the stove or in the over, and the smells were heaven. I know most kids who grew up close to their grandparents can relate to this and sometimes wish they could go back in time. I was lucky enough to remember some those meals and now me and my family enjoy them.

Homemade enchiladas, menudo, migas, chorizo con papas, and tamales are just a few of the favorites. Homemade beans and Spanish rice are also a regular in our house.
